Brenda Jackson Rhodes

Brenda Jackson Rhodes, 74, of Micro, NC (formerly of Gloucester), passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Her family will celebrate her life privately.

She was a beautiful soul who loved animals and nature. She had an upbeat attitude and a positive spirit and always faced life's challenges with a smile. Brenda was a very hard worker. To know her was to love her. She will be deeply missed.

Brenda is survived by her soulmate, Donnie Ray Rhodes Sr. of the home; son, Donnie Ray Rhodes Jr. of the home; daughter, Diana Reyes of Wilson Mills, NC; grandchildren, David Parker of Asheville, NC, Cassandra "Cassie" Weaver (Dustin) of Mechanicsville, VA, Kendra Rhodes of Morehead City, NC, and Martin Escamilla (Brittany) of Wilson Mills, NC; great-grandchildren, Miguel Escamilla, Paytyn Weaver, Kenzie Weaver, Cody, Connor Parker, Emily Parker, Colton Escamilla, Eli Escamilla, Hunter Escamilla, Aubrey, Maddie, and Natalie; her best friend, Eloise Capps of Smithfield; as well as her beloved Chihuahua, Jack.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Faye Parker; and her son-in-law, William Kevin Parker.
