Brenda "Cookie" Harshberger

Brenda "Cookie" Harshberger, 71, of Newport, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Carteret Health Care.

Her memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 16th, at the Church of Christ in Morehead City.

Brenda, known to all as "Cookie" was born on July 18, 1951, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late James and Hester Pierson. Later in life she moved to Carteret County, North Carolina, where she has lived for the past 7 years. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, always looking for new ideas and projects to create. Not only was it peaceful and relaxing but the end result was always worthwhile.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly Morris and husband Brian of Marietta, Ohio and brother, Chuck Pierson and wife Brenda of Newport, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Pierson.
