Brandon "Brad" Allen Collins

Brandon “Brad” Allen Collins, 38, of Newport, passed away Saturday, November 10­, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church.

Brad loved music and was an avid guitar player. He was known the “dictionary of music” for his knowledge of songs, instruments and melodies. Among his other interests were fishing, going to the beach and cook outs. He was a smart man who had great ideas and was very talented in many areas.

Brad was a wonderful father, husband, brother and son. He loved his family and cherished his girls.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Collins, of the home; daughters, Madison Kira Collins and Regan Marie Collins of the home; parents, Randy “RC” and Ina Collins of Newport; cousin, Ron Collins, Jr. and wife Mia of Newport; nephew, Skylar Jones of Newport; aunt, Brenda Joyce Bush of Maysville; and uncles, Douglas Freeman of Carteret County, John Ed Graham and wife Juanita of Beaufort.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rufus and Vereen Collins, Gordon and Monnie Freeman; brother, Tony Michael “Mike” Collins; uncles, Randy Bush, Randy West, Joey Graham, and  Ronnie A. Collins, Sr. and his wife, Debbie.
