Brandon "Brad" Hollamon

July 18, 1981 — October 4, 2024

Brandon "Brad" Scott Hollamon, 43, of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.

A Celebration of Life Service honoring Brad will be planned at a later date.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Brad Hollamon, a man who lived life with a smile on his face and the sun on his back.

Growing up, Brad was always on the move—whether skateboarding through the island or catching waves surfing, he was drawn to anything connected to the ocean. A true beach lover, he could often be found cruising the streets of Emerald Isle in his beloved Jeep, with the wind in his hair and the salt air around him.

Known for his sharp sense of humor, Brad was as refreshing as the ocean breeze—always ready with a quick joke or a laugh, and never taking life too seriously. Except, of course, when it came to his greatest love: his daughter, Brenn Hollamon. She was the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with her, creating memories that will last forever.

Brad was the kind of friend who could be counted on no matter the storm—loyal, caring, and always up for an adventure. Whether it was a spontaneous trip to the beach, driving all night to Florida for a Tampa Bay Bucs game, hitting the waves on his jet ski, or just hanging out with Blue and Hurley, he lived fully and freely, soaking up every moment.

He is survived by his mother, Candice Webb; his father, Jesse Hollamon; his daughter, Brenn Hollamon and Brenn's mother, Jennifer Moore; his sister, Angie Locklear; his brother, Chad Hollamon; and nieces and nephews, Zoey Hollamon, Olivia Bridges, Alex Ferretti, and Brock Blanton; as well as extended family; and his childhood friend, Paul Musco.

Emerald Isle won’t be the same without him, but the footprints he left on the sands—and in our hearts—will never fade. Here’s to a life well-lived, full of laughter, sand, and sun, to a man who knew how to truly enjoy the ride. We’ll miss you, Brad, but we’ll never forget the joy you brought to all of us. Ride on, island boy.
