Bonnie "Gregory" Rice Sr.

Bonnie "Gregory" Rice, Sr., 88, of Morehead City, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare at Taylor Place.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mance Cason officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Mr. Rice served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and retired from the Town of Morehead City Fire Department.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer R. Styron of Cedar Island; two sons, Greg Rice, Jr. of Newport and John D. Rice of Newport; sister, Mary Ellen Rice of Morehead City; also eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce "Carolyn" Daniels Rice, parents, Bonnie McCoy and Bruce Dail Rice, and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
