Bonnie Brickhouse Nelson, 72, of Atlantic, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Carolina East Medical Center.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016, at Atlantic Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Terry McInnis to officiate. Interment will follow at Atlantic Community Cemetery.
Bonnie graduated from Atlantic High School in 1961, and worked in the Atlantic school cafeteria for 25 years before retiring as the manager in 2003.
She is survived by her husband of the home, Bobby Nelson; son, Robert Nelson, Jr, and his wife Tonya Nelson of Fuquay-Varina, NC; grandchildren, Sonny Joy Nelson, and Baker Nelson; brother, Dennis Brickhouse and his wife Rachel of Atlantic, NC; brother in-law, Richard Nelson of Raleigh, NC; and nieces, Becky Brickhouse, Mary Rose Baker, and Tina Mason Wu.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Spurgeon Brickhouse, Sr, and Hilda Robinson Brickhouse; brother, Harry Brickhouse, Jr, and his wife Elnor; and nephew, Randy Brickhouse.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Monday, February 1st, 2016, at Atlantic Missionary Baptist Church.
