Bonnie Dowdle Kelley, 84, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Harborview Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Memorial Park, officiated by Reverend Patrick Whaley.
Bonnie was born on October 1, 1933 in Franklin, NC to Plenny and Launa Dowdle.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Kelley; daughter, Dianne Styron of Newport; sons, Danny Kelley and wife, Kimi of Morehead City, Jim Kelley and wife, Terry of Newport; sisters, Louise Williamson, Pauline Stiwinter, Marie Brabson, Nell Goforth, Carolyn Chastain; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by parents, Plenny Dowdle and Launa Dowdle; daughter, Katherine Lynn Kelley; sister, Betty Holland; brothers, Carl Dowdle, Clarence Dowdle, Jim Dowdle, Ray Dowdle, Ralph Dowdle, Shirley Dowdle, Earl Dowdle and Charles Dowdle.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, NC.
