Bonnie Lewis Graham

Bonnie Lewis Graham, 85, of Mill Creek, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.

A memorial service to honor Bonnie’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 5th, at Broad Creek Church of God. Inurnment will follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday, January 4th, at Munden Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born on May 24, 1939, in Broad Creek, NC, to the late Brady and Gurthel Lewis. A beloved mother, mema, and great-mema who had an unwavering love for her family. Bonnie found her greatest joy in loving and nurturing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a strong and fiercely protective matriarch who always put her family first.

For over 30 years, Bonnie served as a Sunday school teacher, sharing her faith and guiding others in their spiritual journeys at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church and Broad Creek Church of God. She was a devoted servant and strong believer of God. The family finds comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of her Savior, a place she so faithfully believed in throughout her life.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Hollie Matthews (Tony) of Broad Creek, and Jennifer Graham of Mill Creek; son, James “Jimmy” Graham (Leslie Yearsley) of Mill Creek; brother, Ashley Lewis (Estelle) of Broad Creek; grandchildren, Kayla, Christian, Jordon, and Gabriell; and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Benjamin, Sailor, and Harbor.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Graham Sr.; and sisters, Dolly “Blue eyes” Golden, Ivory “I.B.” Rose Garner, Essie Taylor, and Darlene Cannon.
