Bobby Ernest Wortman

Bobby E. Wortman, 81, of Morehead City, died Friday, July 11, 2014 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
The family of Bobby will conduct a memorial service 1:00 pm Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Wildwood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robbie Phillips officiating.
Bobby was a God loving, fine southern gentleman, and the patriarch of the Wortman family. He was known as the "Happy Pappy" with contagious laughter. Also a member at Wildwood Presbyterian Church, New Horizon Group at First Presbyterian Church in Morehead City, and very active member of the VISA group. He loves all sports.
He is survived by six children, son; Ronnie Wortman of Florida, daughter; Karen Grunewald and husband Ronnie of Tennessee, daughter; Vickie Stark of Newport, son; Gary Wortman of Florida, daughter; Dorothy Hall and husband Jack of North Carolina, son; Mike Hinson of Florida; twelve grandchildren, Dusk, Eva, Christopher, Wes, Amanda, Elizabeth, Gary Jr., Vanessa, Alycia, Rhonda, Rodney, and Alan; and seventeen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Wortman, and daughter in-law Dawn Wortman.
