Billie Dyer Cockman, 93, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. Born on November 19, 1931, in Alabama to Robert Dyer and Theresa Lorren Dyer, Billie lived a life full of love and dedication.
A Celebration of Life will be held in June at the home of her daughter Carol Cantrell.
Billie was a proud graduate of Millbrook High School and dedicated forty-five years of service to Burlington Industries. Her legacy of love, hard work, and family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Those left to treasure her memory are her sister, Jessie Williams; her three children, Carol Cantrell (and husband Randy Morris), Norma Yanez (and husband Ricardo Yanez), and Greg Cockman. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Scott Sylvester, Lee Cantrell (and wife Amanda), Nicholas Frazier (and wife Katie), Jordan Frazier, Alexander Cockman, Ivan Cockman, Max Cockman (and wife Mackenzie), Carl Cockman, Seth Cockman and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl W. Cockman; her brother, Emil Dyer; daughter-in-law, Catherine Cockman; son-in-law, Roger Cantrell and her grandson, Kyle Anthony Sylvester.
