Bill Knott, Jr., 64, of Newport, died Sunday, April 3, 2011.
Mr. Knott has been emplyed with Food Lion for over 20 years, having worked in Durham, Atlantic Beach, and Beaufort, where he was promoted up to Produce Manager.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Knott of the home; three step-sons, Terry Wayne Shearin of Morehead City, Jerry Wayne Shearin of Hubert, and Alan Ray Shearin of Durham; step-grandson, Deagan Ray Shearin of Virginia; one brother, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
