Betty Marie (Lovelace) Loyd

Betty Marie Loyd, 86, of Newport, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2015 at Penisula Memorial Park in Newport News, VA.

She is survived by a daughter Lois Ann Pohl and husband Mike of Panama City, FL; two sons Ronald Loyd and wife Dolly of Newport, NC, and Billy Loyd and wife Jan of Morehead City, NC; three brothers David Lovelace of Marlinton, WV, Don Lovelace of Marlinton, WV, and Joe Lovelace of Washington, DC; a sister Barbara Kozloski of Mt. Jefferson, VA; four grandchildren Michael Pohl of Panama City, FL, Tonya Pohl of Roanoke, VA, Aleshia Loyd of Morehead City, NC, and Jennifer Reedy and husband James of Morehead City, NC; and one great grandchild Niall Reedy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Irvin Lunn Loyd, parents Ernest and Lillian Lovelace, brothers Kenneth Lovelace, Scott Lovelace, and Thomas Lovelace, sisters Jane Lovelace, Mary Catherine Workman, and Jean Lovelace.
