Betty Joyce (Williams) Loftin

Betty Joyce Loftin, 80, of Beaufort, passed over to be with her Lord, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Heritage Health Center at Taylor Place.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Manley B. Rose, Jr. officiating.
Betty was a amazingly strong, and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, providing for them love, shelter, a home, within her own. She was wife of Bryan Loftin, Sr. for 53 years. Betty continued to be a faithful, loyal, and loving wife up to her passing. She was a friend, a shoulder to lean on to all her friends, and had a mother's love to those who needed it. She was overjoyed to welcome all to her table to eat. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul, and raised her children Elizabeth and Bryan Jr., in the First Baptist Church in Beaufort, NC. Miss Betty and her husband was mother and father for 34 years to the Beaufort Fire Department family and often took them into their own home to help them get a start on their own.
She is survived by her daughter Martha Elizabeth Loftin of Beaufort; a grandson Michael Edward Hunter, Jr.; granddaughter Angela Dawn Loftin Phillips; great grandchildren Kylee Phillips, Kameron Phillips, and Gabriel Liam Hunter; and great great grandson Jami.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bryan Loftin, Sr., a son Bryan Loftin,Jr., and her parents Clarence and Margaret Williams.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
