Betty Knott, 71, of Newport, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Manley Rose officiating.
She is survived by three sons, Terry Wayne Shearin of Newport, Jerry Dwayne Shearin of Jacksonville, and Alan Ray Shearin of Durham; three grandchildren, Deagan Ray Shearin of Morehead City, Alan Ray Shearin, Jr. of Durham, and Ayden Robert Shearin of Jacksonville; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Knott, Jr., and her parents, William and Ruth Moore.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
