Betty Gaskins

Betty Gaskins, 70, of Havelock, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Carolina East Medical Center.

Betty was born January 28, 1951, in Kannapolis, North Carolina to George and Grace Furr. She was the owner of the Diet Center in Havelock. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an all-around good person that loved the Lord, a great friend to all, and was well known as being a great cook.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Gaskins of the home; daughters, Kimmy Pearce of Newport and Angie Shaffer and husband Brian of Havelock; grandchildren, Makayla Wills, Emma Wynn and Shelby Pearce; and her dogs, Maggie and Lilo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Grace Furr; brother, Buddy Furr; and son-in-law, Brett Pearce.
