Betty May Day, 79, of Morehead City, died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Mariner officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Betty was an avid CB radio user her handle was "Teardrop". She enjoyed golfing and praying for others.
She is survived by a sister Ruth Barbeau of Newport; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mathew and Elizabeth Marshall, her husband of 30 years Alvin Day, brothers Mathew Marshall, Jr. and Henry S. Marshall, and sisters Martha Bell Worley, Margaret Ronning, and Anna Davis.
