Betty Alley Creger

Betty Alley Creger, 84, of Beaufort, passed away Friday, October 5­, 2018, at her home.

Her service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Betty attended Ann Street United Methodist Church in Beaufort and was a member of Kings Grove United Methodist Church in Crockett, VA.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Tankard and husband, Phillip, of Beaufort; grandson, Stephen Tankard and wife, Rachael, of Beaufort; and great-grandson, Luke Owen Tankard; sisters, Charlene Brooks of Chicago, IL and Margie Lawson of Fries, VA; brother, Jackie Alley of Galax, VA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Creger; son, Stephen Grover Creger, II; parents, Roscoe and Eva Alley; and brothers, Drayton Alley, Russell Alley, and Lee Alley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carteret County Public School Foundation for Hurricane Florence victims, at 107 Safrit Dr., Beaufort, NC 28516.
