Betty Ann Bradfield, 85, of Newport, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Bradfield married Donald Francis Bradfield on December 8, 1945. She was a housewife, Computer Programmer/Analyst for the Civil Service Commission at Cherry Point MCAS, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, member of United Methodist Women's Group, and a member of the Newport Bud 'N' Shrub Garden Club.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Lindblade officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald Francis Bradfield of Newport; three children, Charles David Bradfield and wife, Angela of Raleigh, Michael Allen Bradfield of Merritt Island, FL, and Vivian Marie Fredricks and husband Randy of Linden; brother, James Earl Bradshaw and wife, Elaine of Carmel, NY; sister, Julia Mae Jaeger of St. Charles, MO; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
