Bertie "Bert" Lawrence Mason

Bertie (Bert) Lawrence Mason, 68, of Newport, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mance Cason and Rev. Ray Conner.
He is survived by his wife Patti Mason of the home; three daughters Leona Gaye Mason-Richardson of Greenville, NC, Krystal Kasper Little of Beaufort, SC, and Mary Elizabeth Binette of Beaufort, SC; two sisters Treva Nelson of Stacy, NC, and Laura Anderson of Deltona, FL; one brother Daniel "Danny" Mason of Sea Level, NC; also eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jordan and Gertie Mason, and a son Kenny Sears.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
