Bernice Willis, 98, of Harkers Island, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Free Grace Wesleyan Church with Pastor Clint Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by five nieces, Madge Guthrie of Harkers Island, Edith Gray Russell of Harkers Island, Judy Guthrie of Harkers Island, Eleanor Joyce Kamplain of Gloucester, and Nina Jane Guthrie of Harkers Island; two nephews, Byron Willis and Robert Paul Willis both of Harkers Island; also several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Willis; and her son, John Doyle Willis; parents, John and Bernecia Willis; four sisters, Pearl Whitley, Mae Sparks, Madeline Nelson, and Edith Willis; and two brothers, Gray Willis and Elton Willis.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at the church.
