Bernice Ann Giblin

Bernice Ann Giblin, 93, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.

A funeral service to honor Bernice’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 19th at St. Egbert Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Ryszard Kolodziej. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 18th at Munden Funeral Home. 

Bernice was born on April 5, 1931, in Phillips, Wisconsin, to the late Fred and Ethel Krivinchuk. Our precious mother, Miss Bunny, was simply a beautifully serene and calming force of God’s nature. All her eight children knew that, in her presence, we were protected and loved. Her uncommon spirit to show patience, tolerance, and a generosity, to all who were blessed to know her, was obvious. Her ageless beauty was equaled by her unselfish kindness towards others. Our hearts overflow with gratitude for the blessing of having her for our mother. She will be missed until we are reunited.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kitty Cabaniss, Barbara McElveen; sons, Thomas Giblin (Jeanne), John Giblin (Cheryl), Martin Giblin (Michele), Michael Giblin (Ernie); sister, Shirley Dwyer; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Giblin; daughters, Patricia Kemp and Teresa Giblin; 6 siblings; and grandson, Thomas Cabaniss.
