Barry Singer, 78, of Havelock, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his home.
His funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock, officiated by Rev. Jeff Knipple. Interment will be held at Forest Oaks Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to attend the service. For those unable to attend, the family invites you to view the webcasting of the service through Barry’s obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home. Additionally, there will be a limit to the number of people in the building at one time, as well, those who attend will be asked to bring and wear a protective mask. Help us honor the family while practicing safe measures. Friends are also encouraged to leave words of comfort to the family through the website.
Barry grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after 23 years of service. He participated in the Vietnam War. He was a big racket ball player, loved to watch sports and read the Bible. He was a member of Fellowship of Christ Church in Havelock, and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Singer of Hope Mills; son, Steve Singer and wife Angie of Greenville; sisters, Audrey McKenzie of Kingwood, TX and Linda Bemaroya of New Jersey; brothers, Scott Singer of Savage, MN and Rick Singer of Binghamton, NY; grandchildren, Amanda Saxon, Alyssa Saxon, Alexander Saxon and Jordan Singer; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jolene McKinney Singer; parents, Calvin and Gretchen Singer; sisters, Claudia Singer and Cheryl Miller.
The family will receive friends following the service.
