Barry Finley “Ehlers” Wallace, 37, of Winnetka, Illinois, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025.
Barry was born on March 24, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, to Tammy Wallace Graham. He was a proud member of the Winnetka Congregational Church and the Adult Congenital Heart Association. During his years at New Trier High School, he distinguished himself as a talented member of the fencing team and served his community through various outreach initiatives. His dedication to service culminated in earning the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout, a reflection of his lifelong commitment to leadership and compassion.
In his free time, he enjoyed practicing his swing at the golf range, hanging at the beach, listening to music, and going for Sunday drives in his Bronco. His greatest joy was time spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Barry’s journey stands as a luminous testament to the power and unconquerable nature of the human spirit; he showed that not only can one endure but flourish in the face of adversity. His bravery, tenacity, and determination serves as inspiration to all who were blessed with knowing him.
Barry was a loving and devoted husband to Amanda, with whom he shared nine wonderful years of marriage. The memories they created together will be forever cherished and passed down with love to their beautiful son, Finley.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Amanda “Buck” Wallace; his parents, Tammy and Jeffery P. Graham; son, Finley Callaway Wallace; siblings, Reagan Ehlers, Wallace Maxwell Ehlers, Haley Garnett (Mason), Franklin Graham, Madison Graham, and Holden Graham; brother-in-law, John Buck; and his precious pups, Hamish and Nessie.
Barry was preceded in death by his grandmother, Peggy Jacobs; grandfathers, Ronald Wallace and William Graham; his great aunt, Judith Wallace; and his dogs, Peyton and Moose.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at the Winnetka Congregational Church, with a reception to follow at the church.
