Barbara Ann (Heaton) Vota
August 11, 1944 — January 31, 2015
Barbara Ann Vota, 70, of Beaufort, passed peacefully Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Craven Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Manley B. Rose, Jr. officiating.
Barbara was a school bus driver for over 30 years in Long Island, and she had a passion for special needs children. She loved to fish and did it well. She was a member of Eastern Athletics and swam five days a week with her aquatic aerobics friends. Barbara was very active and loved life, her husband Michael felt "extremely lucky to be married to her".
She is survived by her husband of 50 happy years Michael John Vota; two sons William "Billy" J. Vota and wife Amy of New Jersey, and Michael S. Vota of Beaufort; and two granddaughters Amanda Vota, and Logan Vota.
She was preceded in death by her parents Buddy and Anita Heaton.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
