Barbara Styron Taylor, 74, of Sea Level, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at her home.
There will be a graveside service held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Nelson Bay Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Koonce
Barbara worked at TA Taylors Seafood and as a waitress at Eunice’s Restaurant in Atlantic, Sea Level Inn and as a food service worker at Sea Level Extended Care. Her favorite job was raising her grandchildren.
She is survived by her companion, Glenn Jarrett; daughters, Patricia “TC” Davis and husband, Richard, of Sea Level, Mary Styron and husband, Richard, of Cedar Island; son, Charles Taylor and significant other, Paulette, of Sea Level; 6 grandchildren, Gregory Taylor and wife, Morgan, of Atlantic, Joshua Austin of Cedar Island, Jared Davis and significant other, Allyson, of Sea Level, Fred Styron of Cedar Island, Shane Taylor of Marshallberg, Vada Styron and significant other, Tim, of Sea Level; nieces, Kim Styron of Sea Level, Shawna Styron of Harkers Island; and sister-in-law, Sally Styron of Harkers Island.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Taylor; mother, Ethel Styron; father, Hallet Ward Styron; brothers, James Ward Styron and Joseph Styron; niece, Susan Gaskill; nephew, James Ward Styron, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Reda Styron.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Richard and Patricia “TC” Davis at 289 Nelson Neck Road in Sea Level.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials can be sent to the American Heart Association at 4217 Park Place Court Glen Allen, VA 23060.
