Barbara Melton Smith

Barbara Melton Smith, 78, of Havelock, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Carteret Health Care.

Barbara was born on August 31, 1942, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to the late Edward C. and Virginia B. Melton. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon A. Smith of Havelock; sons, Edward C. "Huck" Smith and wife Renee of Wilmington and Steven W. Smith of Havelock; brother, James T. Melton of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Mark T. Melton, Megan R. Eldred, Aaron D. Armstrong, Deven D. Smith, and Hope N. Smith; and 5 great grandchildren.
