Barbara Lucille Pavone, 71, of Promise Land, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at Carteret House.
Services will be private per the family’s request.
Barbara was an avid sailor who lived on a houseboat and sailboat for at least 30 years traveling the sea. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and daughter who was loved dearly and will be missed by her children, grandchildren, family and many close friends.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Rogers Carson and husband Edgar of Promise Land; her son, John Gordon Brown; grandchildren, Patrick V. and David F. Johnson; five great grandchildren; brothers, Michael Eric Pavone of VA and Roy Donald Lucht, Jr. of Bogue; sisters, Shonie Lou Pavone of Morehead City and Anita Beatrice Coburn of Newport; and her faithful four legged companion, Ruby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Anthony Pavone, Sr. and Earline Mizelle Pavone Lucht; sister, Edith Geraldine Hardison; and brother, John Anthony Pavone, Jr.
