Barbara Dean Meadows
July 2, 1947 — June 25, 2014
On Wednesday, June 25th, the Lord welcomed another soul into the kingdom of heaven. After a short battle with cancer, Barbara Meadows, 66, of Newport joined her mother and father in eternal peace.
Ms. Meadows, of Newport, was a tireless advocate for her community, and will be missed by all she touched. Barbara is survived by two brothers, three children, and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at Munden Funeral Home on Sunday June 29th at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society 930-B Wellness Dr. Greenville, NC 27834 or the The Wounded Warriors Project 4200 Morganton Rd. Suite 300 Fayetteville, NC 28314, will honor her memory and dedication to those in need.
