Barbara Ann Curran (Gergich)

Barbara Ann Curran (Gergich), 84, of Morehead City, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2021, at Carteret Landing's memory care unit in Morehead City, North Carolina.

Services for Barbara will be private.

Barbara grew up in Roselle, New Jersey before residing in Linden, New Jersey where she raised her two daughters, Donna and Linda before moving to the Sunshine state to enjoy her retirement years.

She worked hard as a waitress to support her family in many different restaurants before retiring.  She was an avid "crafter" who could make just about anything and especially enjoyed stained glass.  Barbara loved to dance and play the organ and accordion.  She was fun, loving, talented and generous. She would give you "the shirt off her back". She had a great sense of humor and concern for others.   She was the best mother her daughters could ask for and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Turner and her husband Bill and Linda Wasyluk and her husband Bob Pells; in addition to her Aunt Dot; sister-in-law, Ginny; and nephew, Richie and his wife Angelica, and Richie's children, Amanda and Tyler.

Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents, Frank and Stephanie Gergich, and brothers Sonny and Tommy Gergich.
