Barbara Buck, 79, of Harkers Island passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, November 27, 2015 at Harkers Island Pentecostal Holiness Church with Brother Craig Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.
Barbara loved and cared for her family, friends and extended family. She was well known in the community for her love of Cooking and taking food to family, friends and those in need.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Buck of the home; three daughters, Bertha Wade and husband Eric of Harkers Island, Joy Lawrence and Kim of Straits and Davina Lopez and husband Rafael of Atlantic; one son, Ronnie Thomas and wife Willa of Harkers Island; five grandchildren, Randall Wade, Hope Tyler, Jona Taylor, Adam Harris, Kayla Thomas; and five great grandchildren; Cody Wade, Erica Wade, Aiden Tyler, Cole Tyler, and Summer Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, David Wade; and parents, Rennie and Gracie Hamilton Willis; also three brothers and five sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St. Memphis, TN 38105
The family will receive friends 11:00-2:00 pm Friday, November 27, 2015
