Barbara Ann Mason

Barbara Ann Gay Mason, 76, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, at UNC Health Care.

Barbara was born on July 7, 1944, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Richard and Etta Gay.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Mason of the home; daughter, Sheila Gurganus and husband David of Morehead City; sister, Ann LaSalvia of Pembroke Pines, FL; grandchildren, Maxwell Ryan Gurganus of Asheville, NC and Barbara Amelia Gurganus of Snow Camp, NC; and best friend, Elvira Newton of Morehead City, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her favorite fur babies, Muffin, Maxie, and Tigerlily.
