Barbara Lynn (Hellyer) Abshear

Barbara Abshear, 69, of Newport, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
The family will conduct a memorial service 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Cape Carteret Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dave Abshear of the home; daughter, Tirzah Sarro and husband Anthony of Winston-Salem; son, Michael Abshear and wife Peggy of Cedar Point; and five grandchildren, Michelle Whitt, Emily Espinosa, Zachary Sarro, Isaac Sarro and Scott Sarro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cape Carteret Baptist Church Sign Fund, 101 Anita Forte Dr, Cape Carteret, NC 28584.
