Audrey Lenore (Becker) Murdock
October 3, 1922 — June 7, 2016
Audrey Lenore Becker Murdock, 93, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Morehead City and Harker’s Island, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Bellingham Retirement Community in West Chester, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. Interment to follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Audrey was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of Carteret Writers while she lived in North Carolina, as well as other literary organizations over the years. Audrey won numerous awards for her poetry and her writing, and was well respected by her peers. She was also a founding member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Beaufort, NC.
Audrey is survived by her son Bruce Murdock and wife Linda of Wausa, NE; daughters, Bonnie Vagnoni and husband Michael of Malvern, PA and Katherine Drezen and husband Bill of Tigard, OR; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Hank” Murdock.
