Ashok Chhaganlal Shah

Ashok Chhaganlal Shah, 73, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

A memorial service to honor Ashok’s life will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Sunday, October 20th at Munden Funeral Home. 

Born on February 23, 1951, in Surat, India, Ashok was the beloved son of the late Chhaganlal and Chanchalben Shah. Throughout his life, he maintained a deep appreciation for his homeland. Ashok frequently visited India, where he relished the beauty and richness of his cherished culture.

A dedicated businessman, Ashok exemplified unwavering commitment and hard work throughout his career. Beyond his professional pursuits, he found joy in gardening, loved watching cricket, and cherished moments spent playing with his grandchildren. His warmth and love for family created lasting memories and a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his daughter, Nipa Tolat and husband Dhairya of Cary, NC; son, Bhavyesh Shah and wife Rajvi of Newport; and grandchildren, Ansh Tolat, Aashi Shah, Shreeya Tolat and Aria Shah.

In addition to his parents, Ashok was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Hemsuta Ashok Shah in 2020.
