Arvon Lee Lewis, 82, of Harkers Island, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at the Harkers Island Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Kevin Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Armecia Lewis Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Trudy Smith Lewis of Harkers Island; three sons, Nicholas Lewis and wife Terry of Melbourne, FL, Russell Lewis and Carolyn of Harkers Island, and Rex Lewis of Beaufort; two daughters, Delight Gifford and husband Jim of Otway, Ginger Petrucci and husband Tony of Newport; sister Rose Marie Gillikin and husband Curtis; nephew Kim Lawrence and wife Joy; niece Hiedi Gillikin and husband Paul; great-nieces Trista Guthrie and husband Jeremy , and Hope Lawrence and husband Jeff; great-nephews Gavin Gillikin and wife Allison , and Dylan Gillikin; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, one great -great niece, two great- great nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the Church.
