Arthur G. "IKE" Davis Jr. 72, of Morehead died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Carolina East Medical Center, New Bern, NC.
He retired from the US Coast Guard.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Bayview Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating.
He is survived by one son Arthur G. Davis III; three daughters, Bonnie Merritt, Kelly Turner and Carol Arnold; sister, Mary Lou Whitley, ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Close friends include Joanne Norton Davis and Steve Harrell.
Family will receive freinds 12:30-1:30 pm prior to service at Munden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38015.
