Arthur Darrell Dickinson
January 14, 1947 — December 22, 2015
Arthur Darrell Dickinson, 68, of Beaufort passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2015 at Harborview Nursing facility surrounded by family.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Carteret Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Bruce officiating.
Darrell was a lifetime resident of Carteret County. He was a member of the Station Club in Morehead City and longtime active member of Calvary Baptist Church where he regularly said the closing prayer. He was a diehard fan of the Carolina Tarheels. Darrell worked at many of the restaurants in Carteret County including Hardee’s in Beaufort. He was loved by all that he met.
He is survived by his two sisters, Cathie Styron and husband Aron Styron Jr. of Cedar Island and Sandra Gillikin and husband Allen of Harkers Island; also three nieces, three nephews, six great nieces and four great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lycurgus Dickinson and Ellen Stafford Dickinson; and grandmother, Addie V. Cole.
