Arlene Janet Wood

Arlene Janet Wood, 77, of Smyrna, passed away Thursday, July 26­, 2018, at her home.

The family will conduct a memorial service at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Lighthouse Community Church, 2015 Hwy 70, Stacy.

Arlene had a passion to serve the special needs community. She faithfully worked and served at the Station Club as well as helping with Special Olympics.

She is survived by her husband, John Wood, of the home; daughters, Susan A. Bullock of Harkers Island, Diane L. Styron and husband, Stephen, of Stacey, Cindy Burchette of Beaufort; sons, Robert E. Bullock and wife, Janet, of New Jersey; John Kelly Wood of Williston; brother, Richard Spielman of New Jersey; and many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Margaret Spielman.
