Archie Jesse Goodwin, 72, of Cedar Island, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 4, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home of Morehead City with Rev. Darcy Knight officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Cedar Island Community Cemetery of Cedar Island.
Archie served in the Coast Guard for four years and worked in Civil Service during Desert Storm. He was also a lifetime member of the Havelock Masonic Lodge #688.
He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Goodwin of the home, daughter Kimberly Dawn Lewis and husband Martin of Charlotte, son Steven Jesse Goodwin and fiancee Jessica Lacy of Cedar Island, grandchildren Martin Lewis, Jr., Cole Goodwin, Ariya Goodwin, and Amanda Young and husband Jon, and great grandson, Aiden Young.
Archie is preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Florence Goodwin
