Anson Jacobs

Anson Jacobs, (Rabbit) 61 of Newport died Saturday November 28, 2015 at Pruitt Health Care in New Bern.
The family and church will conduct a memorial service at Reece’s Chapel in Mill Creek on Saturday, Dec 5th at 2:00 PM.
He is survived by his two daughters, (Pamela Jill & Laura) and son, Anson Joseph Jacobs, brothers, Vincent Locklear of New Bern, Hamp and Tommy Jacobs of Newport N.C. and Sisters Lou Ann Jones of Houston, Texas, and Pat J Motes of Chesterfield VA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susannah Locklear Jacobs, step father, Lawrence Berry, and sisters, Florence Lewis and Versie Morris (Punkie).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Reece’s Chapel Baptist Church 171 Old Winbury Rd Newport, NC 28570.
Anson was the youngest electrical graduate in his class and owner of his own business, Carteret Electrical Services for over 20 years. His friends knew him for having open arms to all and a Heart of Gold for each. He was an avid NASCAR fan and collector.
He will always be remembered and now has been committed into the loving hands of our Lord and Savior.
