Annie (Rose) Willis

Annie Rose Willis, 77, of Straits, went home to Jesus and her husband of 56 years Earl Willis, on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Pruitt Health Care Center.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at the Lighthouse Chapel with Rev. Ricky Rose and Rev. Dan Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.
Mrs. Annie was a member of the Lighthouse Chapel, the Lighthouse Chapel Trio, and she served as the secretary and treasurer at the church for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Hamilton and husband Richard of Gloucester and Edwina Willis and Frank Noe of Morehead City; special nephew, Joe Willis of Atlanta, GA; three grandsons, Kevin Guthrie of Otway, Neil Brown of Gloucester and Benjamin Guthrie of Beaufort; five great-grandchildren, Nadia, Onesty, Kyra, Hayley and Bentley; and four sisters, Nova Smith of Jacksonville, Louise Golden of Straits, Sidney Richardson and Betty Jean Gillikin both of Otway.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earlon Willis and parents, Edwin and Lela Rose.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at the church.
