Annette Swain LeRoux, 70, of Morehead City, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Taylor Mills.
Annette was born on October 27, 1951, in Siler City, North Carolina, to the late Ray and Jesse Swain. Following high school in Siler City, Annette went to Campbell University where she received her bachelor’s degree. She later received her teacher’s certificate from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. In 1999, she moved to Carteret County where she taught Computer Applications at Morehead City Middle School. Her love for learning was contagious, she inspired numerous children over the years.
Living on the Crystal Coast was a true joy for Annette. Being on the water and enjoying the boat was certainly her happy place. Annette was also talented in the art of stained glass, her creativity and beauty shined through each of her creations. Annette’s enlightening, fun personality will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy John LeRoux of the home; daughter, Kara Poe (Ricky) of Hurdle Mills, NC; son, Alan Phillips (Juliana) of Durham; brother, Frank Swain (Denise) of Stuart, FL; and granddaughter, Sophia Phillips.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Swain.
