Anna "Nina" Marjorie (Rocca) Tramontano

Anna “Nina” Marjorie Rocca Tramontano, 83, of Bogue, NC, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Carteret Healthcare Medical Center, Morehead City, NC.

Nina was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from St. Brendan High School, class of 1952. She worked as a secretary with Chubb and Sons Underwriters in Manhattan before marrying in 1955. She took a career break to raise her four loving children. Later in life, she started a long and successful career as a Legal Secretary and Paralegal, beginning with a private law firm in Bay Shore. Then she began working for various departments within Suffolk County Government (most notably the departments of the County Attorney, County Legislature and County Executive), which culminated in her retirement in 2008. She was well-liked and will be missed by all.

Nina enjoyed raising her family, working, reading, opera music, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by son, Ralph Tramontano and wife, Margaretha of Bogue, NC; daughters, Madeline Tramontano of Worcester, MA, Marjorie Blair of Loveland, OH, and Lisa Dirsa and husband, Bob, of Leicester, MA; sister, Vicky Miele and husband, Frank, of Jackson, NJ; brother, Peter Rocca and wife, Linda, of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Tommy Blair, Tindra Tramontano and Joe Dirsa; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband of 42 years, Domenick Tramontano; parents, Nicholas and Marjorie Rocca; sister, Adriana Mandaro and husband, Gerard.

There will be a Celebration Of Life memorial service at a later date (to be announced) for family and friends.
