Uplifted into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on January 5th, 2013, Anna Louise Santopadre Humes, 78, of Newport, joined her parents, Rosa Colardo Santopadre and Aduino Palermo Santopadre, brother, Henry Santopadre, and children, Raymond and Peggy Lee Humes waiting in the Kingdom of Heaven.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2013 in the chapel of Munden Funeral Home officiated by chaplain Ryan Insprucker.
Anna Santopadre Humes was born and raised in Providence, RI. Her education included graduation from Holy Ghost Catholic High School and the Sawyer School of Business. Anna’s greatest achievement is the guidance, love, compassion and example, giving in love, to her family, friends and acquaintances. Anna never met a stranger. She was loved dearly by all she touched with her gentle, loving and giving spirit. She will continue to watch over and guide us on our Earthly journey until we meet again in paradise.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond Humes; her son, Ed Brown and wife, Terri, of Cape Carteret; her daughter, Rhonda Gale and husband, Frank, of Bakersfield, CA; her daughter Patricia King and husband, Vincent, of Newport; her daughter, Lori O’Brien, of Woonsocket, RI; her daughter, JoAnn Langlais, of Newport; her daughter, Kelly Shenton and husband, Bryan, of Newport; her son, Russell G. Brown and wife, Gina, of Warwick, RI; 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and sisters, Barbara Morrone, of Rhode Island, and Loretta Cotoia and husband, Ronald, of Johnston, RI.
