Anna Doris McCain Fodrie

Anna Doris McCain Fodrie, 90, of Newport, passed away Sunday, October 7­, 2018, at her home.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Newport Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jack Bowen and Rev. Gary Carroll, Sr. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

In Anna’s free time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and baking and she was always happy when she was able to serve others. She was a member of Newport Baptist Church for many years. Anna loved the Lord and her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Fodrie Balfanz of the home; son, Les Fodrie and wife, Diane, of Bolivia; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister; 1 brother; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by father, Guy Lewis McCain; mother, Lucy Edward Garner McCain; husband, Arlie Fodrie; son, James A. Fodrie; 1 sister; and 7 brothers.

Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Newport Baptist Church.
