Ann Miller Olsson, 79, of Newport, passed away Thursday, June18, 2015 at Carolina East with her daughter Ginger by her side.
A service will be private per family request.
She compiled and printed three cookbooks, "The Cooking Ladies" with her sister Mary Allen, and was the manager, of the Carteret County Curb Market.
She is survived by her daughter,Ginger Wade and grandson RB Wade of Newport; son,Thomas Olsson Jr. of Newport; grandson,Timmy Olsson of Wilmington NC; sister, Mary Ellen Hinton of Morehead City; two sister-in-laws, Barbara Scott of KY, and Lois Culver of NJ; and several nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas A.Olsson; daughter, Barbara Ann Olsson and son-in-law Carl Wade; and parents, Joseph and Mary Miller and a very special second mother and father to her, Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Willis Sr. whom she called Eh'ie and Un'le.
