Ann Marie (McDowell) Lyons

Ann Marie Lyons, 84, of Grifton, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by family.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Grifton United Methodist Church with David Mull officiating.
She is survived by five children Fred DeFeo and wife Darlene of New Bern, Vickie Buckmaster of Wake Forest, Jessica Donald and husband Stephen of Grifton, Karin Mull and husband David of Grifton, and Charles Lyons and wife Heather of Newport; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and two sisters Nell Whipple of Westchester, PA, and Linn Hansen of Bella Vista, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles I. Lyons, son Jimmy Byrd, and sister Jean Halcomb.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Pitt County 1880 W. Arlington Blvd. Greenville, NC 27835.
