Ann Owens Lewis

Ann Owens Lewis, 82, of New Bern, formerly of Beaufort, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Croatan Ridge Nursing Center.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.

Ann was a long-time employee of First Citizens Bank, and loving mother whose grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Woodson and husband Shawn Woodson of Lexington Park, MD; son, Willie Lewis, III and wife Lisa Scoppe Lewis of Cove City; brother, Jimmy Owens and wife Liz Owens of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Betty Owens Watson of Greenville; five grandchildren, Willie Lewis, IV, Jonathon W. Lewis, Charles J. Doyle, Thomas E. Doyle, and Mary D. Henderson; and eight great-grandchildren, Brantley W. Lewis, Sarah Ann Lewis, Malorie Lewis, Willie Lewis, V, C.J. Doyle, Violet Grace Lewis, Willow Henderson, and R.J. Doyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie F. Lewis, Jr., parents, Clyde and Kathleen Owens, brothers, Clyde P. Owens and John A. Owens and wife Bianca, and a sister, Ada Sue Manor and husband Rod.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
