Ann Leonard Helsabeck, 85, of Morehead City, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Harborview Health Care Center.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City with Rev. James Burns officiating.

Ann was an Air Force wife, and worked as an accountant for the Department of Defense before retiring to Morehead City in 1985. She was an active member of Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church, and former member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Goldsboro. Ann loved to travel, visiting many places in the world.

She is survived by her husband, Don Helsabeck of the home; daughter, Dawn Potter and husband Tom of Pikeville; son, Michael L. Helsabeck and wife Denise of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Chris Godwin, Jason Helsabeck, Brooke Haynes, Candace Helsabeck, Christa Helsabeck; step-grandson, Travis Potter; her expected great-grandson, Henry James Helsabeck; and her expected great-granddaughter, Baby Girl Haynes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Hallie Leonard; and her brother, Lawrence Leonard.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church, 1112 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557.
