Ann Clyde Gillikin

Ann Clyde Gillikin, 74, of Bettie, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at her home.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Pastor Clinton Nelson. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.

Ann was born and raised on Harkers Island and lived near the water most of her life. She loved lighthouses, traveling, spending time with family and checking the crab pots with her brother Corn Cob. She was an accomplished and generous cook that will be remembered for her fried shrimp, light rolls and her famous chocolate pies. Ann was loved by many and everyone that knew her. She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Monica Asdenti and her husband, Carroll, of Otway; sons, Thomas O’Brien Gillikin, Jr. of Port Orange, FL, Thomas Allen Gillikin and his wife, Charlotte, of New Bern; brother, Stacey Guthrie of Harkers Island; grandchildren, Casey Gillikin and his wife, Lauren, Katee Gillikin and her husband, Brian Lomax, Carter Gillikin, Lesley Ann Asdenti and Thomas Allen Gillikin, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas O’Brien Gillikin, Sr., and her parents, Stacy and Cora Guthrie.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
